Resort gate access — your QR pass

Storey Lake is a gated resort with a staffed entrance. Before arrival we’ll send your personal DwellingLive QR gate pass — save it to your phone. Show it at the guard gate, and keep it handy all week: the same QR is your daily proof of stay at the resort clubhouses.

Backup: the guard also accepts the home address (4806 Kings Castle Circle) plus the name on your reservation. Food delivery and rideshare drivers just give the guard the address.

Speed supports streaming and video calls in every room.

TV & streaming

Every TV is a smart TV. Sign into your own Netflix, Disney+, Prime, Hulu, etc. — press Home, pick the app, and log in. Your accounts are automatically signed out at checkout, and we reset every TV between stays, so your info is never left behind.

• No account? No problem — Pluto TV and Tubi are pre-loaded: thousands of free movies, shows, and live channels with zero login
• Please don’t change TV system settings — it breaks things for the next family (and for you at 9 PM on movie night)

A/C & thermostat — the one rule that matters

Kitchen & coffee

The kitchen is stocked for vacation cooking: cookware, knives, blender, and a starter set of dish soap, dishwasher pods, and sponge. The coffee maker, starter coffee, and filters are on the counter. If something’s missing or broken, text us — we’d rather fix it today than read about it later.

Washer & dryer

• Full-size washer and dryer are yours — detergent pods are in the laundry room
• One pod per load, don’t overload past ¾ full
• Clean the lint screen before each dryer cycle — it’s the difference between 45-minute and 2-hour dry times
• Please don’t wash the white towels with colors

Private pool & patio

• Pool hours 8 AM–10 PM. No glass anywhere on the pool deck — bottles and pool decks end vacations
• No diving — it’s a splash/plunge depth pool
• Children supervised by an adult at all times. The black mesh pool safety fence stays up and latched; if you remove a section for swim time, re-socket it afterward — it only protects when it’s standing
• Pool heat (electric heat pump) is an optional add-on at $40/night + 13.5% tax, whole stay — worth it October–April. Request at least 3 days before arrival; a pool this size takes days to warm and heat can’t be added mid-stay. Pool and spillover spa share one system and heat to the same temperature. Below ~50°F outside, heat pumps lose ground — Florida physics, all homes
• Pool towels (the colored ones, in the laundry room) go to the pool; white bath towels stay inside

Gas grill — rules & safety

The gas grill is on the patio — propane tank attached, grill brush on the cart. A few rules that keep cookouts safe (and free):

• Valve on to cook, valve OFF the moment you’re done — the tank valve is the on/off that matters
• Never leave a lit grill unattended; keep kids and pets back
• Flare-up or grease fire? Close the lid and turn the valve off — never water on a grease fire
• Brush the grates while they’re still warm — 60 seconds and it’s done
• Leave the grill as you found it — grills left dirty run a $50 cleaning fee (damage billed separately); the 60-second brush is the whole trick
• Propane runs out mid-cookout? Text us — we’ll switch it out as soon as possible

Resort amenities — included in your stay

The Hideaway Club is a 5-minute walk from your door (4715 Kings Castle Cir): resort pool & hot tub, lazy river, splash zones, fitness center, kayaks, plus an on-site bar & grill. Open daily 9 AM–9 PM (bar/kitchen from 10 AM). A second clubhouse, The Bronson Club (2700 Reading Trail), adds another pool, a second lazy river, and an arcade.

• Entry: show your DwellingLive QR pass at the desk, sign in, and they’ll issue your wristbands — proof of stay is checked daily
• Know before you go: no outside food, drinks, coolers, or tumblers (there’s a full bar and kitchen inside); no smoking or vaping on pool decks; under-18s accompanied by an adult
• HOA office (inside the Hideaway Club): 321-999-7646, Mon–Fri 9 AM–4 PM

Trash — daily valet pickup

Easiest trash setup in Florida: tie bags tight and place them in the plastic bin on the front porch by 9:00 AM — pickup happens every morning. Bag everything snugly; Florida heat (and wildlife) will find anything loose.

House rules (the short version)

• Registered guests only; max occupancy as booked. No parties or events — Storey Lake security patrols nightly, and noise/occupancy violations end stays without refund
• Quiet hours 10 PM–7 AM (resort-enforced)
• No smoking or vaping anywhere inside or on the patio ($350 remediation fee)
• No street parking outside marked spaces (towed) · pets only if approved on your reservation

A quick word about Florida

You’re vacationing in the subtropics: the occasional gecko on the patio is normal (they eat the bugs — they’re on our side), afternoon thunderstorms in summer roll through fast and leave, and the sun is stronger than it feels — SPF up, especially at the parks. The home gets professional pest control monthly; if you ever see ant or insect activity inside, text us same-day and we’ll have it treated fast.

Groceries & essentials (closest first)

• Publix at The Crosslands — full grocery, ~5 min. The Florida institution; get a Pub Sub
• Walmart Supercenter & Target at The Loop — ~10 min, everything else
• Grocery delivery: Instacart and Walmart+ deliver to the resort — put “give guard the address at the gate” in delivery notes
• Pharmacies: CVS and Walgreens on Osceola Pkwy / 192, ~10 min

Theme parks from your door

• Buy park tickets and make park reservations before arrival
• Disney’s paid line-skip (Lightning Lane) opens in the app early morning — set an alarm
• Arrive at the gates 45–60 minutes before open (“rope drop”) to ride the headliners with short waits
• Afternoon = pool break at the home; evening = return for fireworks. Your legs will thank us

Eat & drink nearby

• The Loop (10 min) — 20+ restaurants, easy family dinners after park days
• Celebration Town Center (10 min) — walkable, charming, great date-night dinner
• Old Town & Fun Spot on 192 (10 min) — classic Kissimmee: funnel cakes, rides, Saturday classic-car cruise
• Disney Springs (15 min) — big-league dining without a park ticket

Need something mid-stay?

Checkout — 10:00 AM (5 things, 5 minutes)

1. Bag trash → plastic valet bin directly in front of the door
2. Load dishes and start the dishwasher
3. Set the thermostat to 74°F
4. Lock all doors and windows (patio door too)
5. Text us “checked out” — that’s it

Leave beds unmade and towels in the tub — linens are our job, not yours. Late checkout: text the night before; when the calendar allows, it’s usually yes.
